Yesterday, feeling the need to be challenged a bit, I asked Mary to pick a key, any key. I wanted to make composing a jig a little more challenging and she picked the key of E, with 4 sharps. "E" is a really rich key and has a couple of open strings that allow some fun ornamentation. So with challenge in hand I set off to compose a Jig in the key of E Major. I finished the first half yesterday and the last half today.

It's a "happy" sounding tune and suggests to me the way she feels when she's about to see her nephews, thus the title.

I'll post the sheet music on my "Fiddliferous" page in a day or so.
