Wade and Shirley Ledford are among the nicest people we've met here in eastern Tennessee. They open their home every Friday night to many Bluegrass musicians and friends from all over the place. They both have an uncountable supply of friends who stop over frequently to visit and sample some of Shirley's great cookin' and Wade's great singin' and pickin'. Mary and I feel very much a part of their big family and we're honored to be their friends. It's also an honor to be part of Wade & Friends Bluegrass Band.

Pictured above in the main picture are Jeffrey Lewis, Frank Culler, Mike Laws and Harvey Tester. Frank, Mike and Harvey are members of Wade's band as well as Tom Harrald, Cooter Williams and yours truly. I'm sure there may be others I've omitted, too, so please forgive me.

Wade knows so many of the old, traditional Bluegrass numbers, it's such a treat to hear him sing and play. The Ledfords have opened their home and their hearts to Mary and me and we feel like part of the family. Talk about southern hospitality! What a fun way to spend a Friday night.
