she would be open to considering opinions other than her own and prone to using advice from
additional sources. She, however, rarely has relied on the advice of others in coming to
decisions related to subject matter or matters technical in nature such as camera settings.
Conversely, unsolicited advice can be seen as intrusive or as a type of criticism
from a self-appointed advisor about Mary's photgraphic competency.
Mary prefers candid photography. In other words, photos captured without creating a posed
appearance. She purposely avoids prior preparation of the subject by either surprising
the subject or taking care not to disturb or distract the subject during the photographic
process. This is different from secret photography in that she remains discernible and
not wearing cover. All of the photos on our websites are published with tacit permission
as candid photography from the various subjects who are aware of the fact that their photos
are being taken.
She has taken literally tens of thousands of pictures to the pure joy and amazement of
countless visitors to this website and others. We routinely enjoy emails expressing
"thanks" for the beauty and candid nature of her subjects.
