I composed this work (Clarty Burn, the Rondo) for piano in 1991 and wrote a nocturne titled Clarty Burn and included that piece in my "Blue Almonds" CD I released in May of 2001. These two pieces are the first and second compositions of a broader work I call a petite-concerto. At some point I hope to release the third and final composition of this Opus.
I recently added orchestral instruments to the Rondo which was originally composed for piano only. Those instruments are flute, oboe, bassoon, violin, viola and cello.
