The Jugless Jugband

Here's a band that is no longer together after the untimely death of Dave Deyo. We traveled all over the place playing Bluegrass and having a blast. Dave had the driest and funniest sense of humor I've yet to encounter. He was a lot of fun to travel and pick with. Frank Owen was (and still is, I'm sure) phenomenal on the washtub bass. Dan Sheldon was our lead singer and a seasoned performer having been brought up in the very talented and musical Sheldon family of Lyons Falls, NY. I enjoyed playing with these fellows immensely! The four of us also played under different names, too. Occasionally we were accompanied by Ed Kennelly on his acoustic "doghouse" bass. At one time we were "The Food Stamp Ramblers" (the original group. I just recently played in a group of the same name but with none of the previous members) and at another time we played as "The Purdy Burgers!"
