The Rock Creek Opry Band

NOTE: THIS BAND IS NO LONGER ACTIVE SINCE THE ROCK CREEK OPRY PLACE HAS CLOSED ITS DOORS! SEE THE "BLOG" PAGE FOR MORE INFO.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The standard members consisted of Ron Duncan, Eddy Ray, Jerry Sams, Bob Van Horn and myself. Other steady pickers who contributed a lot of music each week or frequently were: Big Ron Lewis, Warren Shelton, Big Ed Dance, Jim Woods, Ken Williams, Jeffrey Lewis, Alice Hensley, Gary Taylor, Roger Messer, Terry Tester, Gordon Hoyle, (Bill Fernald when in town), Junior Banks and several others who I didn't know their names.

The weekly jam was provided free-of-charge by our host, Robert Crigger of Nashville fame, having played with Jeannie Sheppard and Bobby Baer for many years. Robert was a kind, sincere gentleman and we were all very touched by his generous spirit.

Robert Crigger has since passed away and we all miss him very much. He was so kind and generous to us and we shall forever be in his gratitude.
